08/18: Occoquan
This night we were reshooting a scene we tried for in July but the noise from construction had won the battle, but not the war. We moved the scene from southeast VA up 95 to Occoquan (which sounds like Shaka Kahn, so we liked to say it really fast, and often).
In this scene, Shelly is sitting on a bench waiting for her 'date' to return, her friend Alex, with ice cream. While she waits, the local manure salesman- turned- sudden- film- director Ron Price comes up to her to offer her the lead role of Delia for his movie "Lucifer Cicero".
This is where Jessi records the time marked at the end of each take.
Poor Pete was sooo tired that night, Dave and I watched him fall asleep standing up at one point.
Justin had to hold the microphone just off camera beneath Taylor. His elbow got bitten up so badly, it looked like he had about 30 bites on top of one another all over his inner elbow. Gross!
The silk set up to diffuse the light onto the actors had attracted so many moths!
