Vivid Morsels: 01/15: update on " |

We filmed this back in September. It's a small scene in the beginning of " | | " where Ian is tying up some loose ends before he leaves his town for where he grew up.

He stops by his friend Charlie's apartment to give him his acoustic guitar. It was a pretty quick shoot, and it was at my place (Deanna's) in Virginia, so the commute to the set was a quick one.

We actually used Deanna's apartment interior as Alex's place, where he and Shelly have a little dialogue and then she freaks out in the bathroom. But, shh, don't tell!

We also filmed several scenes at George Mason University. Here, Jim Green is being interviewed on a local morning show as the mayor running for congress.

Our interviewer was a very talented lady and the scene was pretty fun, I think we got some good outtakes from the banter between Green's character and the reporter's.

There's Neil, the director, checking out the looks of things in the monitor. We even had to evacuate for a stupid fire drill in the middle of it, which was annoying.

Afterward, we went into a lecture hall to film the scene where Jim Green is being interrogated by the press. It's an intense scene of just him standing in a blaring light and all of us out in the audience firing questions at him and flashing cameras. We're off-camera, though, you don't see us at all.
